Butterflies and Bows: A Whimsical and Monochromatic Wedding on a Crisp Fall Evening in North Carolina

Jocelyn and Rob's signage design started with an email from Chelsy at the Gathering Co. She inquired about signage and day-of stationary that was elegant in shades of beiges and browns with one request; we should include orange monarch butterflies. DONE! I found a set of three dimensional butterflies that we decided to add on the day of the wedding, to make sure they were perfectly placed above the floral arrangements. The butterflies came in a little brighter than I'd like, so I gave them a light dusting of beige

spray paint. On a perfect fall day we arrived at The Bradford, butterflies in tow. I went to check in with Chelsy, the planner, when I see her walking across the courtyard with a giant tulle bow in each hand. "Look at these!" she exclaimed. She said they were for the welcome sign and the seating chart. Sometimes the greatest design happens on the spot. We set-up the welcome sign and seating chart and added the butterflies after the bows and florals by Seeded Events and Design were in place. We set out bar signs, photo sharing QR codes, menus, and table numbers. Then we took our extra butterflies and added them around the venue; on bathroom mirrors, on cocktail tables, and on the fireplace mantle, which housed family photos of the bride and grooms loved ones. Everything was expertly captured by Howard Photo + Film. It was a day of beauty and whimsy and won't soon be forgotten.
